The Cattle Information Service (CIS), one of the UK’s leading providers of milk recording and herd management services, is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our nationwide team of Milk Recorders.

As a Milk Recorder, you’ll play a vital role in supporting dairy farmers by collecting essential milk samples and recording yields and data. This data is crucial in helping farmers make informed decisions about herd health, productivity, and breeding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit dairy farms on a regular schedule, often during early mornings 
  • Accurately measure and record milk yields from individual cows
  • Collect and label milk samples for laboratory analysis
  • Use handheld devices or record sheets to capture and submit data
  • Liaise with farmers in a professional and respectful manner
  • Adhere to CIS procedures and standards for data integrity
What We’re Looking For:
  • A genuine interest in working in a farm environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Flexibility with working hours (early mornings essential)
  • Basic IT skills (training provided for our systems)
