The Cattle Information Service (CIS), one of the UK’s leading providers of milk recording and herd management services, is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our nationwide team of Milk Recorders.

Due to business expansion we have a number of Employed and Self Employed Milk Recorder positions available. As a Milk Recorder, you’ll play a vital role in supporting dairy farmers by collecting essential milk samples and recording yields and data. The role involves visiting dairy farmers to take milk samples, record cow data and batch samples that are sent to be analysed by the CIS Laboratory in Shropshire.  Please contact the CIS Area Manager for the area of interest.

We are seeking a Team Leader within the Milk laboratory department to efficiently organise their team ensuring that all samples are analysed to a high standard by suitably trained staff within a time limit suitable to the client. Along with the Laboratory Supervisor, co-ordinate staff training. To maintain communication with laboratory staff and management, for example any instrumentation failures, QC failures, health and safety issues that have impact on the overall operation
