Head of Field Services appointed at CIS
The Cattle Information Service (CIS) is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Deakin MBE as Head of Field Services. Paul takes on this role from Janette Mathie, who retired earlier this month.
Paul brings a wealth of experience and insight to the role, joining the business from Kingshay. Paul will be responsible for leading the team of CIS Area Managers and driving the commercial elements of the business.
Previously, Paul has been involved with key account management of dairy services; therefore brings skills to strengthen and grow strategic relationships and sales across the CIS products and services. Outside work, Paul keeps himself busy on his family farm in Cornwall.
CIS is a leading provider of milk recording and bovine health testing services for farmers in Great Britain. The portfolio of services provides livestock farmers, nutritionists, and vets with the data they need to measure, monitor, and manage herds.
Reporting to CEO Melanie Harmitt, Paul will also work closely with Group Commercial Director Michael Halliwell, Dena Snidall, Head of Laboratory Operations at the CIS Laboratory in Telford and the CIS Area Managers.
Paul Deakin, Head of Field Services, says, “It is a real privilege to join the team and take on the role of Head of Field Services. This is a great organisation with a strong reputation, talented people, and a clear commitment to delivering outstanding service. I am very much looking forward to establishing myself within the role, supporting our teams in the field, and helping drive continued innovation, performance, and customer satisfaction.”
Melanie Harmitt, CEO of Holstein UK Group, adds, “We are excited to welcome Paul to the Holstein UK Group. Paul’s experience working within the industry and his proven leadership skills will make him a great addition to our team.”
